Rodney Ligon, 24, is being charged with four counts of assault and two counts of aggravated menacing. Kyle Webster, 25, is being charged with aggravated menacing.
Springfield Police Division officers were sent to the Marathon station on Selma Road on a report of an assault. One of the victims told police she was allegedly assaulted by two with guns at the gas station. She told police she was at a bar with Ligon a few weeks ago and left her wallet in his vehicle, the report said. The woman were supposed to meet at the Marathon to return the wallet, but after searching the vehicle, the victim was unable to find it.
Ligon allegedly became upset and the woman attempted to leave, it said. The woman left with two adults and a 1-year-old child and Ligon and Webster allegedly followed them in a white pickup truck, the report said. As the victims approached a stop sign, the men jumped out of the truck and showed their handguns.

Ligon allegedly struck the woman in the head and face with the handgun and also hit the child at time same time, the report said. A male victim in the back seat attempted to shield the woman, but he was also struck in the face, it said. The female driving the car was also struck as she was shielding the child in the back seat.
The victims each suffered injuries from the assault and were treated by the Springfield Fire/Rescue Division. The suspects were unable to be located, but warrants were issued for their arrest, the report said.
