Burglars take multiple items from Springfield furniture store, owner says

A Springfield business was broken into on Monday, and a number of furniture items were taken.

Springfield police responded to the break-in call at Sue’s Furniture store, 1133 Sunset Ave., around 8:30 a.m. Monday, according to a police report. They met with the owner, the report says, who told them the front door of her business was locked but its back door was open.

“(She) stated she entered the business and observed several missing items of furniture,” the report says.

Missing items included a red leather recliner, a light wood dresser, four large rugs, and a coffee table set, according to the report. The value of the missing items was not included in the report.

No arrests have been made, according to the report.
