Coronavirus: Clark, Champaign school cases decrease below 50 in a week

Eleven Clark County and four Champaign County school districts reported new cases of COVID-19, according to the Ohio Department of Health’s COVID-19 school district dashboard’s latest update.

In total, 42 students and staff cases were reported between the two counties on Thursday, which is decrease from the last two week’s cases of 105 on Nov. 26 and 80 cases on Nov. 19.

The school districts reported student and staff cases as follows:

Catholic Central Schools: one student, one staff

Clark-Shawnee: one student, one staff

Emmanuel Christian Academy: one student, two staff

Global Impact STEM Academy: one student

Greenon: two student, one staff

Northeastern: four student

Northwestern: one staff

Ridgewood School: one staff

Southeastern: two student

Springfield: nine student, three staff

Tecumseh: one student, three staff

Graham: four student

Mechanicsburg Exempted Village: one student

Triad: one student

Urbana: one student

Cases reported on the dashboard lag one week, meaning cases reported on Thursday were from the week of Nov. 24-30.

The dashboard tracks cases of COVID-19 in all public and private K-12 schools across the state. Data displayed on the board includes all student and staff cases broken into two categories: new and cumulative. The board is updated each Thursday.
