Schools districts in Clark County will not be receiving the coronavirus vaccine next week during week one of the distribution.

The Clark County Combined Health District said they will not receive the vaccine for K-12 employees next week.

“CCCHD will not be receiving the vaccine for K-12 next week. Clark County will receive the 2,700 doses for K-12 employees but we do not know when,” the health district said in a post to its Facebook page.

The health district said they will communicate with school administrations when they know the date they will receive the vaccines.

Although school districts in Clark County will not be getting the vaccine yet, five districts in Champaign County will get their vaccines on Friday. This includes Triad, Graham and West Liberty-Salem Local Schools, Mechanicsburg Exempted Village Schools and Madison-Champaign Educational Service Center.

There are 91,000 Ohio school employees included in week one of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
