Clark County Dog Shelter offers $22 adoptions today as part of nationwide event

Harley is the Clark County Pet of the Week.

The Clark County Dog Shelter is offering adoptions at a reduced price today as part of the nationwide Clear the Shelters event.

According to a post on the Clark County Dog Shelter’s Facebook page, all adoptions will be $22 due to a donation from the Springfield Foundation.

Since 2015, more than 485,009 pets nationwide have found a home during the Clear the Shelters event, www.cleartheshelters.com said.

The dog shelter, located at 5201 Urbana Road in Springfield, will be open from noon to 7 p.m. today.

Dog breeds available for adoption include pit bull terriers, a beagle and several other mixed breeds.

The dog shelter will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and will re-open at noon Thursday, the post said.
