The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is reminding motorists to use an alternate route on Sunday if they plan to be traveling near the annual toy run route during that day if they do not want to be delayed.

The Highway Hikers will host their Annual Christmas Toy Run this Sunday on Oct. 18.

The event will start at 1 p.m. at the VFW on Lake Road in Bethel Twp.

It will travel to Gerlaugh Road and east on Lower Valley Pike, then proceed past George Rogers Clark Park onto State Route 4 past the Masonic Home. It will continue on Main Street through Springfield to South Bird Road, then turn on South Charleston Pike and arrive at the entrance of the Clark County Fairgrounds.

The Toy Run will be in a continuous line from start to finish and could block traffic for a period of time.
