The $2.5 million interior renovation project on the historic A.B. Graham Building in downtown Springfield is slated to be completed on Nov. 23.

According to a statement from Clark County, as a result, four Clark County offices — auditor, recorder, treasurer and engineer’s tax map office — will be closed Nov. 16 through Nov. 20 to allow for adequate time to move operations back into the building located at 31 N. Limestone St.

Offices will re-open during normal business hours on Nov. 23.

Reconstruction on the building started in September of 2019.

The renovations at the A.B. Graham Building, originally constructed in 1901 and named after the founder of 4-H, include modernized electrical wiring, heating and air conditioning, fire suppression, plumbing and a new elevator to make the building handicap accessible.

Springfield-based Kapp Construction served as contractor on the project and Dayton-based Oregon Group served as architect.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a formal re-opening ceremony will be held at a later date,” the statement said.
