Snow level emergencies were declared by sheriff’s office throughout the Miami Valley on Friday and throughout the holiday weekend as powerful winds and below-zero temperatures kept ice and snow on the roadways.
Callers in both the Miami Valley and statewide were primarily requesting help with dead car batteries and help with towing, according to AAA public and government affairs manager Kara Hitchens.
AAA’s Dayton-area market includes several counties: Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Preble.
