When police arrived, they spoke with several residents who lived in the area about the incident.
One woman said she was upstairs almost asleep when she heard several loud bangs.
“When (the woman) came downstairs, she noticed debris from the plaster in her walls all over the floor of her home,” the report said.
Police saw two holes in the wall and two holes in the window in her living room, the report said. Police also found one spent bullet laying on the living room floor as well as several bullet holes on the outside of the house.
A second woman said she was also asleep and was awakenby gunshots outside of her house.
“(The woman) did have a bullet go through the window of her home,” the report said.
Officers then spoke with two residents at a third house in the area who said they had several bullet holes on the outside and three holes on the inside of their house.
“(The resident) stated that he received a voice message from (a man) on Facebook stating that he was going to come over and shoot up the house,” the report said.
Several witnesses on scene also told police they saw a red car with the drivers side headlight out leave the scene after the shots were fired, the report said.
Officers also found a Honda Accord that was shot as well as 30 spent .762 casings in the area.
“The vehicle had a bullet hole in the rear window. The passenger side and rear passenger side windows were also broken,” the report said.
No other suspect or witness information was available.
Springfield police continue their investigation into this incident.
