1 injured in southside Springfield shooting

One person was injured in a shooting at Speedway on South Limestone in Street in Springfield Friday afternoon.

The Springfield Police Division responded to a report of shots fired at the gas station after 3:30 p.m., where they found a male victim with non-life threatening injuries, Sgt. Jacob Eggers said at the scene. The man was transported to Mercy Health – Springfield and will likely go to Miami Valley Hospital.

Eggers said police found bullet casings. The investigation is ongoing.
