Man, woman killed in ATV crash in Springfield ID’d

A man and woman who died in a fatal ATV crash Saturday in Springfield have been identified.

Landon Overholser, 21, died at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.

Kylie Coffey, also 21, was pronounced dead at Springfield Regional Medical Center, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Crews responded around 12:50 a.m. Saturday to reports of an ATV crash in the 3200 block of Ballentine Pike, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Overholser was driving an ATV with a second passenger on Ballentine Pike when he sideswiped a second ATV, lost control and went off the left side of the roadway, hit a fence and overturned.

He was flown by medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital, where he died from his injuries, OSHP said. The passenger, later identified as Coffey, was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center and died from her injuries, OSHP said.

Ballentine Pike was closed for about four hours while the OSHP investigated the crash.
