Crews responded to a welfare check request around 11:20 p.m. at the 1200 block of Livermore Street, according to a Facebook post by the village.
Police said on arrival, officers discovered a person with apparent gunshot wounds.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident, according to police.
There is no threat to the community at large, and the Bureau of Criminal Investigations was requested to assist with the investigation.
“There is still ongoing investigatory work being conducted, and as such, community members will see said activity in the area of Livermore Street throughout the day,” police said. “This case remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further details are being released at this time.”
