The most recent Google Trends report on holiday parties and events show people are greatly searching for “French blonde cocktail.” In the week leading up to Dec. 17, searches for it spiked more than 250%.

So what is a French blonde cocktail? The beverage has a golden color with mixtures of floral and fruity flavors. Wine-liqueur maker Lillet has a recipe that calls for it to be made like this:

Ingredients:

2 parts Lillet Blanc

1 part Monkey 47 Gin

2 parts grapefruit juice

1/2 part of elderflower liqueur

3 dashes of lemon bitter

Directions: Fill a shaker with ice and add Lillet Blanc, Monkey 47 Gin, grapefruit juice, elderflower liqueur and lemon bitters, Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Double strain into a chilled Nick and Nora cocktail glass.

Other drink searches

General searches for “cocktails” spikes highest annually during the holidays and in December, Google Trends reports. Other cocktails people searched highly last week include “southern comfort cocktails” and “snow globe cocktail.”

According to “Taste of Home,” a snow globe cocktail is about the look: It has a fun presentation that has a pine-tree like rosemary sprig and whole cranberries frozen in water in a cocktail glass.

Once those items are frozen, pour over sparking wine, such as Prosecco.
