The Thomases purchased the 18,975-square foot home for $96,000, according to the Greene County Auditor’s website.
Jacob was sensitive to squeaking floors and wanted something new. Megann said she wanted something with potential that she could put her own stamp on.
The couple was shown working on the home at the end of the show.

A Kettering real estate agent helped a local couple hunt for the home of their dreams, and the whole thing was recorded for a national audience.
Perry Wydman is set to be featured on HGTV's "House Hunters" at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, with Megann and Jacob Thomas.
It will rebroadcast at 1 a.m. Dec. 19.
Here is how the episode is described on HGTV’s website:
“A young married couple in Dayton, Ohio, is looking for a house with enough room to start a family. She's looking for a fixer upper so they can put their own stamp on it, while he'd prefer move-in ready, since he doesn't want to take on the added work.”

Wydman a realtor since January, said the Thomases applied to be on the show on a whim.
“They didn’t expect to get on,” he said. “It was actually the first clients I helped find a home.”
The episode, the first filmed in the Dayton area, was filmed in May with a four-member crew from “House Hunters,” Wydman said.
He showed them homes in Bellbrook, Huber Heights and Kettering.

Wydman said one house was what Megann had in mind, another was geared toward Jacob’s wish list and the third had something for both.
Wydman, also a PGA golf professional at NCR County Club, said he was excited to be on the show.
“I thought it would be a good way to get my name and face out there,” he said. “For me it was just a fun experience. I was actually less nervous to do the filming than I will be to watch it.”
