Background/Overview: Steve Constantinou's family owned a Seafood Market in Greece. He always knew he'd open his own restaurant someday. In the early 70s, he traveled to the United States and settled in New York. There, he found a business partner that shared his vision of becoming a restaurateur. They relocated to open a "home - cooking" restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina.

Steve also hoped to open a Seafood Market or Seafood Restaurant to honor his family roots. He said people thought he was crazy for wanting to bring his plan together in the south of Georgia! He ignored any negative comments and in 1980 opened his first Bay Breeze Seafood Restaurant.

A chain of the popular eatery soon developed and in 2002 the expansion led to the corporate headquarters in Hendersonville, North Carolina. At this time, Springfield is the only Ohio location. It’s overseen by Steve and his son, Bill, and loyally managed by Tracy Maiolo. Bay Breeze was specifically described to us as having a, “Friendly, spacious atmosphere with awesome food, management, servers, and service!”

Beverages: Folgers Coffee, Pepsi - Cola products, or Luzianne Iced Tea - $2.49 w/free refills. Beer - $3.79 to $5.59; Wines - $6 to $7 (glass); Signature drinks, such as the Bay Breeze Bloody Mary - $8.79.

Children’s Menu: (Beverage included) Fried Chicken Tenders - $4.99; Fried Flounder - $5.99.

“Daily Specials”: Daily list posted on menu. Everyday, Country Fried Steak - $6.99, w/Salad Bar - $8.99

Soups: Clam Chowder - $3.49; Shrimp & Roasted Corn Chowder - $3.99; Lobster Bisque - $4.99.

Salads: “All - You - Can - Eat” Salad Bar - $6.99, w/entrée - $2.99.

Sandwiches: Catfish Po Boy - $7.99; Crab Cake - $8.99; Bay Breeze Ultimate Burger - $9.99.

Appetizers: Fried Pickles - $5.99; Blooming Onion - $6.99; Fried Green Tomatoes - $6.99.

Light Appetite & Senior Menu: Alaskan White Fish - $10.99; Broiled Scallops - $16.99.

Desserts: Choose from an abundance of luscious treats in the extra-large display case in the center aisle of the main dining area. Some offerings are: Sugar-free Apple Pie - $3.99; Chocolate Fudge Cake - $4.99; Strawberry Cheesecake - $5.99.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday; 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

More Information: Reservations are appreciated for parties of 12 or more, however, "walk-ins" are welcomed anytime. There's seating for 400 customers throughout the five sections of the restaurant. "Happy Hour" is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. It includes drink and food specials. Draft beer is $2 from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
