For decades, Dayton has been an incredibly welcoming place for the band. In fact, Paul Stanley, the rhythm guitarist and co-lead vocalist for KISS, previously told us that it was here, at a sold-out show at Hara Arena on January, 31, 1976, when he finally felt like the band had found mainstream success.
More than likely, this feeling can be chalked up to the fact that Dayton is one of the biggest KISS fan bases in the entire world.

Each time that KISS comes to town, fans young and old come together to celebrate the occasion. The magic of these live shows, where fans finally get to come face to face with their musical heroes, is something that Gene Simmons of KISS spoke of in a 2016 interview with Dayton.com.
“There’s a magic that happens on stage that you can’t find anywhere else,” Simmons said ahead of an August 2016 show at the Nutter Center. “I get to wear more makeup and high heels than your mommy and we have a ball. We plays songs, blow stuff up and make a complete spectacle out of ourselves.”
