Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge has been added to the Clark State Performing Arts Center’s 25th anniversary season.

Etheridge, who plays various forms of rock blending folk, Americana, blues and country, will bring her “Medicine Show Tour” to the Kuss Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8.

Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15 at ticketmaster.com.

She’s performed for more than 30 years and had six albums reach platinum status and recorded the hit singles “I’m the Only One” and “Come to my Window.” In 2007, Etheridge won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “I Need to Wake Up” from the documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”

In April, Etheridge will release her latest album, “The Medicine Show.” She’ll perform songs from it and her many other albums at the concert.

Performing Arts Center executive director Adele Adkins said she’s tried to get Etheridge here for more than a year and that audiences will be in for an exciting evening when it rounds out the PAC’s 25th season.
