John Legend local concert rescheduled

New concert date is Sept. 4, 2021; tickets for 2020 show will be honored

UPDATED (July 1, 2020): The John Legend concert scheduled for Sept. 5, 2020, at Rose Music Center in Huber Heights has been rescheduled to Sept. 4, 2021. Patrons should hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored for the rescheduled date. Those seeking a refund can view ticket refund options here.

John Legend is coming home.

The Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony-winning singer, songwriter, actor and producer is headed back out on tour starting this summer.

Legend’s Bigger Love Tour this morning will include stops in more than 25 cities across North America, including a stop at Rose Music Center in Huber Heights on Saturday, Sept. 5.

The War and Treaty will open the show.

Legend, who hails from Springfield, previously performed at the Huber Heights music venue on June 12, 2017, for a sold-out show.

TICKETS

Tickets for the Huber Heights show went on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at www.Ticketmaster.com and www.Rosemusiccenter.com.

Tickets will range from $23.50 to $113.

Ticket prices include parking and are subject to applicable Ticketmaster fees. Dates, times and artists subject to change without notice. All events rain or shine.

PAST PERFORMANCES

In addition to the 2017 Rose show, Legend performed a surprise concert at Blind Bob's in Dayton exactly one week after the tragic mass shooting in Dayton’s Oregon District.

On Oct. 9, 2016, he performed during a ceremony officially opening the John Legend Theater at the Springfield Center of Innovation: The Dome. The performance came after a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was attended by an estimated 1,000 people. Legend is a Springfield North High School graduate.

In September 2012, Legend was part of an amazing lineup for Downtown Dayton Revival, including Train, Guided by Voices, Rusted Root, Guster, Tony Lucca and The Ohio Players.

Legend kicked off 2020 with the release of his newest song “Conversations In The Dark,” which hit No. 1 on the overall iTunes songs chart upon its release. The song was featured on “This Is Us,” featuring a performance by John on the show.
