Background/overview

John and Kim Organ are Urbana farmers who started their family concession/catering business in 2007, using a mobile unit they proudly named their “glorified kitchen on wheels.” “The Farmers Daughter,” Jenni (Organ) Eby, and her mom dreamed of owning a sit-down restaurant, and realized that wish in September 2010.

Jenni is the operations manager of The Farmer’s Daughter. Her husband Matt with their children, and her brother Bryan and wife Karadie along with their children, help Jenni and her loyal employees when need be. As important, Uncle Dave is a regular in assisting the staff in maintaining smooth working conditions.

The Farmer’s Daughter offers home-cooked, family favorite recipes that have been passed down for generations and served in its family-friendly atmosphere. What’s more, it’s a place every birthday is congratulated and celebrated with a free piece of Texas sheet cake.
