• Edwards will be Wright State’s eighth preident and the second woman to lead the university.
• She is a biology professor.
• She started as WSU provost in July 2018.
• Edwards was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after starting her WSU job and has been in remission since April.
• She left Australia in 2007 to come to the U.S.
• Edwards served as vice president for faculty affairs at Appalachian State prior to WSU.
• Previously, Edwards worked at Georgia Southern University and James Cook University in Australia.
