Topre America Corp. is working with OhioMeansJobs to find workers for its stamping and assembly facility in Springfield’s Champion City Business Park.

OhioMeansJobs Clark County will be hosting a hiring event for the auto parts maker on Wednesday at 1345 Lagonda Ave., building B.

The event will start at 10 a.m. and last until 4:30 p.m. Candidates must bring a copy of their resume and have at least one year of experience in either assembly, maintenance, metal stamping, robotic welding or tool and die maintenance.

Topre announced last month that it would invest $54 million and add 78,000 square feet to its Springfield facility. The project is slated to add 71 new jobs for the company, the News-Sun reported.

With that announcement, Topre has pledged a total investment of $182 million to its Springfield location as well as a commitment of creating a total of 360 jobs since making plans to move into the area three years ago.
