Ohio franchisee acquires 15 more Panera Bread locations

The operator for Dayton-area Panera Bread restaurants has acquired an additional 15 bakery-cafe locations in another state.

Warren, Ohio-headquartered Covelli Enterprises, the largest franchisee of Panera Bread, announced the acquisition of 15 Panera locations in North Carolina. The deal adds to Covelli’s more than 300 locations. The acquisition of the North Carolina locations follows the 22 bakery-cafes added to Covelli’s franchises at the end of 2016.
