The Lagonda will relaunch as a zero-emission line, according to an article by duPont Registry. Production is scheduled to begin in 2021.
The brand, which originated in Staines, England in 1906, was founded by Scottish-American Wilbur Gunn, who was born in Springfield. Gunn named his company after the Shawnee settlement of Lagonda, which is where the city exists today.
Aston Martin acquired Lagonda — which then became Aston Martin Lagonda — in 1947.
