The business has marked Cinco de Mayo with basic specials since opening in 2014. Manager and co-owner Isaac Soto decided 2018 was right to go bigger.
“We were just ready to do something different,” he said. “It was about time to spice things up.”

Casa will be open 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, but the big action will occur for the first time in a large tent to be set up in front of the business beginning at 3 p.m. both days.
It will include an all-you-can-eat buffet for $8, draft Miller Lite for $2.50 and draft Dos Equis Lager for $3. A DJ will spin music — a mix of traditional Hispanic mariachi music, country and popular tunes — 5-9 p.m. on Saturday.
Specials inside will include buckets of import beers for $12.99, buckets of domestic beers for $13.99, small house margaritas for $2.99 and jumbo house margaritas for $5.99.
Casa del Sazón overcame a fire in April caused by a cigarette discarded outside the building that led to minor damage. Soto said the restaurant was able to open the next morning.
The business will donate part of its Cinco de Mayo earnings to Autumn Trails Stable, a local organization that helps people with disabilities through therapeutic programs.

Soto said one of his goals since opening was to help give back to the community.
While many restaurants have come and gone in Casa’s location over the years, Soto is proud of the longevity and eager to continue pleasing the public.
“We stay consistent with good service and food and by creating relationships with our customers,” he said. “When you love what you do you will be successful.”
