EF Hutton America will host a job fair today for various positions, from finance to customer service.

The financial services company is looking to hire between 20 to 30 employees, and will host the event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at EF Hutton Tower, One Main St. in downtown Springfield, said Heather Biechman, human resources recruiter for the company.

Local leaders in Clark County are expecting EF Hutton America to bring new jobs and investment to downtown Springfield. The company has taken over two prominent downtown buildings and said it plans to invest $22 million and add up to 400 new jobs in Springfield over the next five years.

The company will host open interviews for positions in marketing, customer service, social media, finance and technology, Biechman said. Applicants are asked to dress appropriately and bring a resume, she said.

Most of the positions available are full-time positions, and the company is looking for a mix of both entry-level and experienced applicants, Biechman said.

“It’s across the spectrum,” she said.

The downtown Springfield company focuses on online finance and investment services, but has said it plans to offer mobile phone services this spring. The job fair will take place in the former Credit Life Building, which has since been renamed EF Hutton Tower.

“We really wanted to focus on adding to head count so we can achieve some of our business plan goals,” said Chris Daniels, the company’s CEO.

The job fair will take place on the first floor of the building, Biechman said.

Initial interviews will take place at the site, and company officials will schedule a second interview with qualified applicants, Biechman said. Highly qualified applicants may also be hired immediately, company officials said.
