Information from the Clark County Auditor’s Office shows the property was sold to Limestone Avenue Restaurant Services LLC for $450,000.
Officials from the company confirmed Burger King purchased the site, and said it is expected to open this December.
“The updated design has distinctive graphics and offers a variety of self-seating options for guests,” an email from the company’s media office states. “This new restaurant design exemplifies the brand’s commitment to delivering superior products and providing a positive guest experience in a comfortable and inviting dining environment.”
Burger King also has locations in Springfield at 407 W. McCreight Ave. and 2141 E. Main St., according to the company website.
Officials from the company approached him about the site earlier this year, Kemp said.
“They just offered us a price and we accepted, that’s probably the simplest way to say it,” Kemp said.
The agreement made sense, he said, because Kemp was looking for a new site for his flooring business that offered more space for storage, among other issues.
“That building couldn’t accommodate certain things,” Kemp said. “We were looking for a building that could store big trucks inside and different things.”
Kemp said he has another site in mind for his business but has not yet finalized the agreement for that new facility.
“We really love what we do and we surely appreciate our customers,” Kemp said.
