Third Wave Water, a business which gained recognition after landing a deal on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” will have their own official day of celebration named for them in the village of Cedarville.

The honor will be bestowed at Cedarville’s annual tree-lighting ceremony, which will take place at 5:30 p.m. tonight at the U.S. Bank located at 64 N. Main St.

Third Wave Water gained international attention after earning a $100,000 deal with Barbara Corcoran, a real estate mogul and one of the hosts of “Shark Tank.”

The company focuses on producing mineral packets that, when mixed with distilled water, create a cup of water which tastes the same every time, which is optimal for brewing coffee.

Charles Nick and Taylor Minor started the company in October 2016. Both have years of experience in the coffee industry. Minor owns Telemetry Coffee, a small coffee shop in Cedarville. Nick owns The Wright Cup, a coffee subscription company.

The business is also developing other products, including a system to make water taste more uniform in coffee shops and a product to make already-brewed coffee less acidic.
