Elia Imler, a spokeswoman for the company, said the company is gearing up for what it expects to be a busier spring and summer shopping season. A similar hiring push happened in November 2010, she said.
“We are hiring to prepare for the traditionally busy spring and summer car-buying season,” Imler said. “These are permanent jobs though, not seasonal or temporary.”
The local openings are in “sales, service operations, business office and one administrative position,” Imler said.
Job-seekers should apply online at www.carmax.com/careers . CarMax said it will contact applicants and set up interviews after a review of applications.
The company opened its $19 million car lot northwest of the Interstate 75-Ohio 725 interchange in June 2010 with about 54 employees.
