A Bellefontaine restaurant has been named the best beer bar in Ohio for the second year in a row.

Brewfontaine, which opened in the city in 2015, received the award from Craftbeer.com as part of its Great American Beer Bars competition. Brewfontaine, at 211 S. Main St., won the same award last year.

On its website, Craftbeer.com says the competition involved reviewing survey results from more than 8,000 people. About half the winners were new, while about half received a similar honor last year. The site’s readers were asked to nominate their favorite craft beer bar in their state and fill out a brief survey.

Craftbeer.com’s website notes the Bellefontaine restaurant offers 16 beers on draft and about 60 varieties in bottles and cans.

“We’re known for being the place that never has the same beer lineup,” owner Adam Rammel said on the website announcing the winners. “If you visit us today and again tomorrow, the tap list will not be the same.”
