Delaware Fire Chief John L. Donohue told our media partner 10TV.com in Columbus when firefighters arrived, workers from the plant said five people were hurt but that the fire was out.
Four people were taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, including one person who was flown. A fifth person was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, 10TV reported.
The cause of the blast remains under investigation.

Crews were called Tuesday night to a report of an explosion inside the Liberty Casting factory, according to the Delaware County Emergency Communications Center.
Firefighters and medical personnel are on scene after a dispatcher told our media partner 10TV.com (WBNS) in Columbus that they took a report of an explosion in the factory in Delaware, about 40 miles north of Columbus.

There was no immediate information on injuries, 10TV reported.
Liberty Casting specializes in gray, ductile and high alloy iron casting, according to the company's website.
