Relief efforts moved quickly as stations were set up for homeless at Memorial Hall and boats were sent for families stuck on Columbus Avenue, Warder, and Sherman, and along Lagonda Avenue.
Luckily, in much of the city, the flood water receded fairly quickly, leaving muck and debris, like that shown here looking west on E. Main Street.
Today the scene looks much different and hasn't flooded in some time.
