Flooding, downed trees and wires as more storms roll through

Flooding, downed trees, and damaged utility lines have been reported over the last 24 hours as the region has been hit with multiple rounds of storms and heavy rain.

On Tuesday, an estimated 3 feet of water flooded the Ridgewood Road and Biscayne Drive area in Springfield after heavy rains moved into the Miami Valley region.

“I felt my tires pop, so I’m driving slowly to my house,” she said. “I felt the rim on the ground rolling.”

Several other areas in Clark County have reported flooding including a home in the 5300 block of South Charleston Pike in Springfield Twp., where residents initially requested fire crews to rescue them.

In Greene County, a downed tree and wires was reported in the 2500 block of Ohio 725, east of Bellbrook. Police blocked both directions of Ohio 725 for crews to clean up the  downed tree.

Also in Greene County, a storm that rolled through just before 10 a.m. produced penny-sized hail, according to reports.
