Multiple fire departments were dispatched to the 3900 block of Mechanicsburg Road in Moorefield Twp. around 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Monte Conley, the homeowner, said his wife woke him up after she heard noises. When he came outside, he saw flames coming from underneath the garage, which he tried to kick open but was unsuccessful.
He said he then tried to hose down the fire, but couldn’t with all the heat.
“(It) burnt the top of my head... and it burnt up all my babies.”

Firefighters said the blaze completely destroyed the structure but no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but Conley said it started in the ceiling and roughly caused at least $200,000 in damage.
“You collect for almost 50 years, you build stuff, you don’t expect it (the fire).”
Family members of the homeowner said the garage housed four classic cars, all of which were destroyed.
“You can’t imagine, you’re helpless, can’t do anything about it,” Conley said.
