Crews were dispatched to the campground around 6:30 p.m. after a nearby camper called police to report suspicious activity. When police arrived they discovered at least three people at the raided campsite had outstanding warrants.

When officers returned to make the arrests, only one person remained at the campsite. That suspect’s identity has not been released.
Heis said the lab did not pose a serious problem as only one chemical was found at the site, but said campers were evacuated for four hours while crews responded.
The neutralization of the lab required an assessment of the chemical to ensure no explosions were possible, according to Heis.

In July of 2014, a duffel bag containing ingredients to make meth was removed from the same state park. Former Clark County Sheriff Gene Kelly said at the time that the large wooded area near the park likely tempts meth makers.
