A man working at the Oooh Ooh Drive Thru in Springfield told police a man threatened him with a knife and fled with cash around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, according to a report by the Springfield Police Division.

The man told police he was in the drive-thru portion of the business at 1359 W. First St. when he heard the front door bell go off. A man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black sun glasses and black gloves walked past the counter holding a roughly 10-inch knife with a black handle.

The report shows the suspect demanded money from the register, placed the cash in a tan nylon bag with a fruit pattern on it and grabbed a six-pack of Camel cigarette packs before walking casually out of the business headed west on West First Street.

Police searched the area with a K-9 unit but were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives retrieved a video from the business and also located a pair of sunglasses next to a dumpster near the 1200 block of Bechtle Avenue.
