Background/overview

Callie Ball is the general manager of the new CattleZone Restaurant & Bar. The three co-owners of this fresh American steakhouse and bar, with dance floor and tasting room, are majority owner Jason Ball (Callie’s husband), his brother Timothy Ball and their friend William Saunders.

When asked to describe their new dining and entertainment venue in Clark County, Callie quickly said, “Local. We live here. We’ve raised our kids here. We are the epitome of local!”

Callie and her husband are known in local food service circles because they owned a food truck named Callie’s Concession, and Jason and William are known in Springfield for being owners of a business for more than a decade called Complete Fire Sprinkler and Safety.

CattleZone Restaurant & Bar is located in a former Amvet’s building. The previous owner of the building had sold Callie and Jason the trailer for their food truck and offered them a “great deal” to purchase the old lodge.

After many modifications and renovations, the three new co-owners and Callie held their Grand Opening on May 12 at CattleZone Restaurant & Bar.
