Police were called to West Liberty Street on Dec. 29 on a report of a woman asleep behind the wheel of a truck. The odor of marijuana allegedly was coming from the vehicle upon approach, according to a police affidavit. The officer opened the door of the vehicle and Bendall allegedly woke up.

The officer questioned her, asking her if she was from Enon and what she was doing in the area. Bendall allegedly said she was waiting on a friend so they could go to breakfast and fell asleep. When the officer asked her to exit the vehicle, he spotted a tied-off baggie allegedly containing crack cocaine on the passenger’s seat, according to court documents. Bendall allegedly tried to grab it and was arrested.

A search of the vehicle also produced a digital scale with white residue on it, four cell phones and marijuana residue inside the driver side door, police said.
