An employee saw several younger children driving golf carts and throwing glasses at each other, breaking them on the concrete, the report says. After the employee tried to get the children to stop, she was told by other employees that the children allegedly had damaged wooden trim around some doors.
The employee confronted the woman about having the parents of the children get them under control. The employee said the woman allegedly yelled at her, the police report says. The employee told the woman she was going to shut down the reception because of the unruly children.
When the employee went to ask the woman to pay the $5,095 balance she owed for the reception, the woman allegedly said, “I ain’t paying you anything,” according to the police report. The woman then allegedly left the reception with the rest of the guests.
No charges have been filed due to a lack of a positive identification for the alleged suspect, the police report says.
A relative of the woman called the Springfied News-Sun to say they were unhappy with the services they received and they paid the bill on Monday. A representative of the venue denied that, saying they still hadn’t been paid on Monday afternoon.
