A Springfield man faces multiple felony charges after allegedly pointing a gun and taking money from man he stayed with last week.

Donald L. Walton, Jr., 57, of 461 Harrison St., is facing one count of aggravated robbery, having weapons while under disability and carrying concealed weapons, according to court records. He is scheduled to appear in the Clark County Municipal Court ,at 10:30 a.m. today.

Walton spent the night with the victim and his roommate on Aug. 2. The next morning, they were planning to go to the bank so that the victim could pay the rent money to his roommate. While the roommate was in the shower, Walton allegedly pulled a silver gun on the victim and said:”You’re gonna give me my money or I’ll shoot you.”

When they arrived at the bank, Walton allegedly told the victim: “Be a man, do the right thing.” The victim withdrew $150 and handed it to Walton before calling police.

Police found Walton and the victim’s roommate walking in the area of Gallagher and East Pleasant Street. Officers searched Walton and found a loaded handgun and $150 in his pants pockets.

Walton told police the money belonged to him, court records said.
