A Springfield man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly entered the home woman he accused of putting sugar in his car’s gas tank.

Chris Dearmond, 28, of 207 W. Southern Ave., is facing two counts of criminal damaging and a single count of aggravated burglary. He plead not guilty in the Clark County Municipal Court on Monday morning.

Dearmond allegedly entered the victim’s home and accused her of putting sugar in his gas tank, according to a police report. He walked her back into the kitchen, hitting her and knocking her into the wall, creating a hole. He then fled the scene.

He allegedly came back later and threw an unknown object at the home, shattering a window, the report said. He also allegedly slashed the tires of a vehicle, which the owner captured on video.

Dearmond was later arrested at his residence.
