A Springfield convenience store was robbed at gunpoint last weekend.

An employee at the Cash and Carry Mart, 1910 Mitchell Blvd., was turning off a tablet at about 9:45 a.m. Saturday morning when he discovered a man pointing a gun at him, according to a police report. The man told the employee to give him all the money he had, pulled an envelope out of his pants pocket and placed it on the counter.

An unknown amount of cash was allegedly given to the man, who left the envelope on the counter. Witnesses saw the man get into a dark red or maroon truck and fled with another man.

Video and other evidence was collected by police.
