The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is checking into at least two reports of a suspicious red SUV spotted near bus stops, sheriff’s Lt. Dusty White also said Wednesday.
“We are following up as we speak,” White said about the reports of a man trying to talk to children near school bus stops.
There was one suspicious person call on Heide Road on Tuesday, he said, and another call on Birch Road today.
Shawnee Local Schools and Greenon Local Schools in Clark County sent a one-call about the events, according to parents who received the call.
“It is always good to have extra eyes and people paying attention,” White said.
School officials are also reminding parents, students and bus drivers about safety and are asking everyone to be vigilant.
If you see activity you believe is suspicious, you are asked to call the sheriff’s office non-emergency line at 937-328-2560.
