Logan County woman indicted on murder charge

A Logan County woman was indicted Tuesday on charges related to her husband’s death.

The Logan County Grand Jury indicted Rosalie Kennedy,62, on charges of murder and felonious assault. Logan County Prosecutor Eric C. Stewart said each charge comes with a three-year-gun specification.

Kennedy was arrested on March 11 in connection with the death of her husband, Gary Kennedy, 66. He was found dead in the couple’s kitchen with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Deputies have alleged Kennedy shot her husband and have said the shooting might have stemmed from a “domestic type situation.”

The sheriff’s office hasn’t been called to the couple’s home recently but court records show Rosalie Kennedy was charged with domestic violence in 1997. That case was later dismissed.

Gary Kennedy pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct also in 1997.
