The community college plans to start offering classes at a Troy location this fall and one focus area for courses there will likely be health services, Francis said.
Edison State officials are “still in the process of working on agreements” for a facility to house classes but Francis said an announcement would be forthcoming. College officials are working with the chamber of commerce and other Troy groups and officials in establishing the Troy location, Francis said.

“Edison State has been working with J.C. Wallace and the Troy Economic Development Council to determine the best fit for courses and programs,” Francis said. “The goal is to partner in providing high demand workers for the region.”
Since plans for the Troy location were still in the early stages, Francis said she was not able to provide much further information.

The creation of a third location for the college comes less than a year after Edison State officials said the school was planning to build a 5,200 square-foot student career center and entryway on the school’s main campus in Piqua.
More than 3,000 students are enrolled at Edison State, which first opened its doors in 1973. The community college also has a campus in Greenville in Darke County.
Dayton-based Sinclair Community College is also planning on opening a new location. Sinclair officials are hoping to complete a purchase of Far Hills Church in Centerville in March. The church, which is already equipped with some classrooms and office space, will become Sinclair’s new learning center.
