Background/overview

Anthony Satariano, Sr. and his wife Patricia bought the Millrace Restaurant in Clifton in 1988 from Texas businessman Larry Davis. The simple, rustic snack-shop at the old mill was known to be a “tax write-off” for the previous owner. The Satariano family respectfully decided the old site deserved renovating to preserve its historic worth.

The giant restoration project began with a covered bridge to secure the route for visitors. The front entrance way of the dilapidating structure wasn’t built to amply invite a multitude of patrons so more space was added to accommodate this era’s clientele in numbers. After refurbishment, the restaurant is now fitting to welcome ninety-five patrons for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Anthony Satariano, Jr. is the Clifton Mill president; who maintains the daily processes of the entire grounds. The restaurant’s general manager is Jess Noes, and the kitchen manager is Chef Vincent Summers. The kitchen necessitated many upgrades for the staff to adequately serve the “comfort food” to its guests. The experienced team keeps the place in order for you to take pleasure in “great food with a view” at the legendary Clifton Mill.
