Mercy Health wants to hire 150 positions in Springfield

Job seekers in the area with medical training or experience have a chance for new career opportunity with Mercy Health.

The health care company, which is the parent company of the Springfield Regional Medical Center, wants to fill more than 150 medical positions in the greater Springfield area with two hiring events that will take place Friday, Feb. 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 5 to 8 p.m.

The events, which will take place at the downtown hospital at 100 Medical Center Dr. in Springfield, will offer a number of positions for registered nurses in areas including intensive care, cardiac and emergency.

The hospital is also looking to fill positions in other areas of the hospital, including speech pathology, physical therapy, environmental services and dietary. Positions also will be available outside the hospital at sites such as Oakwood Village and the Mercy McAuley Center.

Those interested in attending are asked to bring an updated resume. Applicants to non-nursing positions must have at least a high school diploma or GED and must have at least either earned a medical certificate or diploma, have an medical assistant certification or be a registered MA or have worked as an MA for three of the past five years.
